Wear Lingerie To Your Wedding?

Kaviar Gauche, Berlin-based brand, unveiled a wedding dress collection sending one of their models down the runway in something that I wouldn’t even call underwear. It is what DailyMail named as a set of ‘diminutive sections of fabric joined together with a central strip’. The outfit looked more than weird. Who would want to wear it during the wedding ceremony? I would probably understand if it were suggested for the privacy of a wedding night. No… actually I wouldn’t.
Wedding dress is something we, girls, dream about since an early age. And when the right time comes nobody can ruin the drama of searching, trying on and fitting the important attire. So, it looks really ridiculous when a designer offers wearing lingerie as the outwear piece on your big day.

Karen Willis Holmes 2012 Bridal Collection

Positioned at the higher end of the luxury market, Karen Willis Holmes couture collection incorporates beautifully made to measure wedding dresses with specific attention to fit and detail with a vintage feel - a wedding dress made especially for you!

Karen Willis Holmes couture bridal wear will provide you, the modern bride with a beautifully made wedding dress. Your wedding dress is made with exceptional attention to detail, and quality service.

Wedding Accessories Ideas

Wedding accessories are a great way to help enhance your bridal look. Finding the right accessories to suit your style is important, as they can really help draw the ensemble together. There are many different wedding accessories to choose from, such as jewellery, hairpieces, shoes and the traditional veil. There are different accessories for different themes, and you must make sure that you pick the right ones to go with your look.

Every bride needs a great pair of shoes to complement their beautiful dress. You can get creative with your shoes so long as you choose something that you feel comfortable wearing, so you don’t stumble while walking down the aisle! Some brides prefer to wear flat shoes, while others are happy to wear higher heals.
The most versatile wedding accessory is jewellery. The jewellery you choose to wear should represent the chosen style of your look. If you have chosen to be the classic bride, along with your veil, diamonds and pearls will be the ideal choice for your jewellery. If you decide you want to be the bold bride, opt for bright and daring colours and wear bigger statement pieces.
For brides who want to dress their hair up, but not go to the full extent of a veil, hairpieces are a great way to accessorise. As far as wedding accessories go, a hairpiece is a simple yet stunning way to dress up your look. For a soft and pretty look try a single flower, or for a vintage look wear a bejewelled, feathered piece.

Veils are perfect accessory for the bride who wants to achieve a classic, timeless look. There are many different lengths that a veil can be, but this is a choice purely up to the bride.

Perfect Gifts for Your Bridesmaids

"Though it's the bride who's the star, all of the women who've supported her along the way should sparkle too," says Lori Hamlin, a celebrity makeup artist who's worked with brides for 20 years.

A Treat to De-Stress
Spending so much time and attention on a demanding bride can wear a girl out! Help your bridesmaids relax after the wedding with at least one item that promises to pamper and rehydrate. "Anyone who experiences an emotional event, stays up late, or drinks alcohol will benefit from hydrating treatments," says Hamlin.

Lip Balm
"A good lip balm will hydrate, smooth, and keep lip color on longer," says Hamlin. She says a quality balm will be absorbed into the lips and leave no sticky residue, so it helps your lips look healthy and smooth. This way, bridesmaids don't have to worry about dry or cracked lips -- even after lots of mingling and gabbing -- and lip color won't look faded in pictures. Tell your girls to put it on first, under lip color, and reapply throughout the day.

Mascara and Eyelash Curler
"Curling your eyelashes is an easy way to open up the eye without adding a lot of extra makeup," she says. As for mascara? "Go waterproof, since weddings always make us cry, and it wears longer in hot weather or while dancing."

Oil-Control Blotting Papers
After wearing more makeup in a day than they would in a week, your girls may start feeling greasy and self-conscious. "Blotting papers pick up oil, remove shine from the skin's surface, and refresh the skin without adding more makeup," says Hamlin.

Did you think the Flashback Friday Challenge had fallen by the wayside?! I'm really sorry! December and January just got away from me. The good news is, the Friday Flashback & Challenge are back for good.

Even though I'm a guest designer at The Lily Pad this month, I kept all the Flashback stuff at my shop. Hope that's not too confusing.

But before we get to today's flashback, let's reach alllllll the way back to October's Flashback Challenge, and announce our winner!!

Congratulations to Mary Kate (aka Therapy97)!

BOTH kits (and the bonus alpha) are on sale throughout the rest of February!

Here's the page I scrapped with both the old and new kits - one of my monthly Scarlett pages. I'm slowly trying to get caught up with all of them. I have all her "facts" written down. I just gotta get the pages scrapped.

And here are the Britt Girls' creations:

Fun stuff, huh?!! Remembering older kits, getting a brand new coordinating kit, and getting it all on sale is GREAT! But the fun doesn't stop there. . .

Create a layout using Love Bytes, Love Bytes 2.0, or the Love Bytes Bonus Alpha before February 29, and post it in the Britt-ish Designs Challenge Gallery. Then come back to this post and paste a link to your layout in the comments. I'll do a random drawing for 1 winner at the end of the month. No matter when you purchased any of the Love Bytes products - today, last week or last year - just use it to create a layout and enter it to win!!

*IMPORTANT NOTE* When you want to link to one of your pages in the Britt-ish Designs Gallery, you need to click on this little icon to make sure that "Display File Information" is on.

Then, below your credits, you'll see the File Information. Use this URL when linking up your page.

You can't just copy and paste the URL that's at the top of your browser window! It won't work.

One more note. I know some people had trouble in the past with the gallery. But all problems were solved by simply trying another browser. My gallery and Internet Explorer don't get along. So, if you're having trouble seeing where to Register, Log In, Upload, or Comment - just try using a different browser (like Firefox, for example) and you shouldn't have any trouble.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I can't wait to see your flashback creations. Ta ta for now.
