Disneyland Day 2

Sorry its taken me so long to get to these Disneyland re-cap posts!! Right after we got back from Disneyland I went into full on party planning mode to get Scarlett's party together. I went a little over the top. So I was BUSY!!! But now that its done, I can get back to being a better blogger. (Party pics are coming! I promise.)

Ok - so back to our trip to Disneyland. Day 2 was Saturday and the park was BUSY from the moment it opened. We tried not to let the crowds bother us and just take our time and do the little things.

There were some friends from Wonderland greeting guests as we entered the park, but there were no real lines and it was SUPER crazy. We did get to meet the White Rabbit.

Right when we were next to meet Alice . . .

. . . she whisked a different little girl away to go play with the Mad Hatter and we were out of luck. :(

Bummer! Oh well - into the park we went.

Stopped to take a picture with the Partners statue, which ended up being one of my FAVE photos of the day!!

Check out the blossoms on the trees around the hub in the background of that photo! They were CRAZY pink!

And some cute baby/castle photos.

Into Fantasyland for some rides. Casey Jr. was up first.

Scarlett really loved this. The wind in our faces, the song, it was all very fun!

After another ride or two, and a nap for Baby in the stroller, it was time to head back to Main Street to check something off my Disneyland bucket list!!! A ride in the Lilly Belle! The Lilly Belle is a special private luxury train car that they have out once in a while. You have to stop at Main Street Station and sign up for a time to ride and the slots fill up fast! But we signed up first thing in the morning and were able to get slots to ride at noon. YAY!

My ticket! (they give you these special tickets to keep after you board)

An awesome picture of Walt and Lillian on a little table in the back of the car, right by where we were seated. Walt named the car the Lilly Belle, after his wife.

Hidden Mickeys in the carpet. Do you see it?

A conductor rides in the car with you and tells you stories and facts along the grand circle tour.

Lillian Disney made these lace curtains!

This photo is a little blurry, but we just handed our camera to a fellow passenger. Oh well!

What a fun memory. Ever since I heard about the Lilly Belle I've wanted to ride it. It was magical.

The rest of the day was pretty chill. We had Scarlett's silhouette done on Main Street. The Cast Member said she'd been cutting profiles on Main Street for 35 years. Wow!

It literally took her about 30 seconds to cut. I couldn't believe it! We decided this would be Scareltt's main souvenir. What a special thing for her to have from Disneyland when she was almost 1 year old.

Then we rode Jingles!! She's the gorgeous lead horse on King Arthur's Carousel.

And we took Scarlett's special Sword in the Stone photo. This is the spot we've decided to take her picture EVERY single trip to compare how much she's grown. It had only been 4 months since our previous trip, but look how much she changed!!

Her legs are so much longer! Her head comes up so much higher on the anvil. Wow. This little comparison got us SO excited to keep doing this tradition.

One magical moment for me was when we stumbled upon Swing Night. The lights, the live music, the little old people (and lots of young people too) dancing cheek to cheek. It's one of the neatest things ever.

It was a busy, crazy day. But it was a lot of fun, filled with magical moments. I wish I was back there right now. . .
